Regents Online Degree Program (RODP) Information

Readmission:

If you have previously attended either Shelby State Community College, State Technical Institute at Memphis or Southwest Tennessee Community College and you have not been enrolled for at least one regular semester (fall or spring), you must submit a completed Admissions Application. The admission application fee is not required for returning students. Additionally, you must make sure that we have your high school and college transcripts. New Student Admission:

• Have a copy of your official high school transcript or equivalent mailed to the Southwest Admissions and Records Office.

• Have official copies of your college transcript(s) from any institution previously attended mailed to the Southwest Admissions and Records Office.

• If you are under the age of 21, have a copy of your ACT test scores mailed to the Admissions and Records Office. (These scores may be on your high school transcript.) The COMPASS exam is also required if your ACT composite score or sub-score in mathematics or English is less than 19. Contact the Testing Center to arrange to take the COMPASS test (if necessary).

• If you are at least age 21, call the Southwest Testing Center at 901 333-5127 to arrange to take the COMPASS test (this test will determine your appropriate course placement).

• Southwest adheres to all Immigration Service regulations in the admission, enrollment and readmission of foreign non-immigrant applicants. For additional requirements of foreign students, please see Section II, A, Number 3 A-G of the detailed general admission policy.
